CHRISTIAN LEININGER
Christian Leininger has 20 years of experience in leading management positions in the aviation industry. As Of Counsel, he focuses on all aspects of aviation security law, consumer protection law and licensing issues.
He began his career at Deutsche Lufthansa, where his most recent position was Head of Security Strategy, responsible, among other things, for aviation security fees, European security legislation and the worldwide auditing of Lufthansa airports. Subsequently, as Head of Safety & Security at Berlin Airports, he was for more than seven years responsible for all regulatory issues relating to security and fire protection at Tegel (TXL) and Schönefeld (SXF) airports, as well as for security-related operational concepts and corresponding permits prior to the opening of Berlin-Brandenburg Airport (BER). Most recently, Christian Leininger worked with the air passenger rights portal AirHelp, where he was in charge of the legal strategy, regulatory affairs as well as the coordination of the Europe-wide network of law firms. Christian Leininger studied law with honors at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, the Université de Nantes/France and the C.E.U. San Pablo in Valencia/Spain. He earned an Executive MBA with distinction from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the University of California, Los Angeles. In addition to his native German, Christian Leininger is fluent in English and also speaks French and Spanish. |
